Neighbors Helping Neighbors

The Panther Community Care Collective (PCCC) is a mutual aid nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that every student, family, and neighbor of Anthony Middle School has the essentials they need to thrive.

The Three Pillars of Our Mission:

  • Food Security: Ensuring no neighbor goes hungry.
  • Stable Housing: Keeping our community members in their homes.
  • Life Necessities: Providing the foundational support needed for a resilient, connected network.

How We Distribute Aid: Accountability is at the heart of mutual aid. PCCC has established a formal Mission and Aid Resolution to ensure every dollar is used effectively and equitably.

Our Philosophy of Trust: We believe in the dignity of our neighbors. Funds are distributed regardless of income or past history based on a good-faith attestation of need. We are a community built on mutual dependence and honesty.

How it Works: People are often nervous about asking for help or worried their donation will be wasted. Here’s how our process works:

  1. The Need: A neighbor submits a confidential request for rent or essentials.
  2. The Review: Our board reviews requests based on our established priority scale.
  3. The Impact: Funds are sent to PCCC by community members to solve the immediate crisis.
